Campus Assessment-Related Acronyms
BFSI (Department description) – Business and Financial Strategic Initiatives. BFSI provides resources for ensuring the strategic execution & prioritization of campus initiatives by providing project management, and organizational development consulting/services for UC Merced.
CWGA – Campus Working Group on Assessment. A standing working group of the Periodic Review Oversight Committee charges with facilitating coordination and communication among the staff members who support assessment across the campus. Via the Survey Coordinating Committee, CWGA also coordinates surveying activity at UC Merced.
IRDS – Institutional Research and Decision Support. UC Merced IRDS provides ongoing support for campus planning and decision-making to help advance the educational mission and effectiveness of the institution. IRDS, along with the Budget Office, Capital Finance, Physical and Environmental Planning and Academic Facilities Planning, are under the Office of Planning and Budget.
PROC – Periodic Review Oversight Committee. A joint committee of the Senate and Administration that supports and advances UC Merced’s educational and institutional effectiveness and organizational learning through its campus-wide advisory and oversight responsibilities for academic and administrative assessment, both periodic and annual.
